Community Development Projects

The Rwanda Outreach and Community Foundation is devoted to fundraising for education and community development projects in Rwanda. Together with our partners we are undertaking various projects. The key community development project on site today is that of Christ's Church in Rwanda. Community development projects are key to Rwanda's Vision 2020 and a hopeful vision for the future.

CHRIST'S CHURCH RWANDA (CCR)
An average of 240 currently meets at Christ's Church in Rwanda. This church plant will in time focus on planting churches and spreading the love of Jesus in Rwanda. Christ's Church in Rwanda recently became the first church to register with the government in several years. In the past, Rwanda lacked leaders willing to use their influence in business, policy and education to model God's love, justice and forgiveness. CCR is utilizing the ROC hall that will serve up to 500 of these "thought leaders" for worship and as a base for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through church planting in the region.

Food for the Hungry International (FHI)
Food for the Hungry operated out of the ROC Community Center for the first sixteen months. This partnership enabled KICS to grow and gain sustainability. FHI has proven to be an outstanding partner as its activity and involvement in Rwanda are second to none. FHI has blessed ROC Foundation through many partnering efforts. FHI set up a shared guesthouse for ROC and FHI guests as well as a kitchen and lunchroom that has served the students and staff of both FHI, KICS, & ROC. ROC is thankful to have had FHI on site partnering for the good of Rwanda. For more information on Food for the Hungry International please visit their website.
