Genocide Memorial
The people of Rwanda have emerged from the genocide of 1994 to become a stable and forward-thinking society. Work continues to rebuild the nation.
A vision of a better Rwanda, built on education,
technology, and human capacity is closer than
ever. The people and leadership of Rwanda are
striving to break the cycles of poverty,
dependency, and tragedy that have tormented
African nations. With hope and hard work, Rwanda
has the potential to become the focus for
Central African progress and trade.
The Rwanda Outreach & Community Foundation (ROC)
was founded to raise funds to purchase three
buildings that sit in the middle of a "model
community" in Rwanda's capital of Kigali. These
buildings include a school, a community center,
and a church. ROC is an Oklahoma-based,
non-profit corporation dedicated to investing in
people through education, community development,
and faith.
You can help. The Rwanda Outreach and Community
Foundation in cooperation with the government of
Rwanda is working toward complete ownership of
this Vision 2020 property. This unique
opportunity allows ROC to establish a central
location in Rwanda for education, community
development, and church planting. Over half the
funds needed to purchase these facilities have
already been raised. Supporting ROC right now is
a powerful step for dramatic impact.
